We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Mental Health Occupational Therapy Team at West Lancs Access and Treatment Team (formerly known as The Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team). This role will involve working within a multidisciplinary team within the adult acute setting for service users experiencing mental health problems requiring home treatment. Home treatment can be provided for a period of up to 3 months as an alternative to hospital admission.    

 

The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to service users within the community to support recovery. The post holder may also undertake supervision of junior staff and assist in local developments related to the occupational therapy services locally and across the foot print of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.

 

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic about working within adult mental health and is compassionate within their approach. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working within varied environments. The post holder will be fully supported under the supervision of a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist.  The successful candidate will also have access to Occupational Therapy peer support, best practice forums and training development initiatives in line with our trusts expanding clinical fields.
