Named Nurse, Safeguarding Children
A vacancy has arisen within the Trust for a highly skilled Safeguarding Children Named Nurse to support Lancashire Care Foundation Trust’s (LCFT) commitment to safeguard and protect vulnerable Adults, Children and Families.
Safeguarding is a valued and integral part of multi-disciplinary working across the Trust. The post involves opportunities to contribute to wider practice development and initiatives.
LCFT is seeking a professional who values, and is committed to: providing advice, support, training, and clinical supervision to a wide range of health professionals to protect children.
Safeguarding is integral to Governance arrangements within LCFT and we are looking for someone with a commitment to high standards and belief in delivering reliable and quality service provision in an area of work that is demanding and challenging but rewarding. We require a person with a proven track record of commitment to safeguarding as well as experience in the effective management of complex case support, and protection issues as part of a caseload.
Applicants should have experience of working with situations that may present challenges for services and staff. Applicants should have an understanding of the national and local issues involved in safeguarding children and a proven ability to engage in effective multi-disciplinary teamwork.
The post is currently based at Daisyfield Mill, Blackburn, however, the postholder will be required to work from additional bases within the organization.
This post is subject to an Enhanced CRB Clearance.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
