Fixed term contract to 30/10/2018
The Innovation Agency (the Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast) is one of 15 AHSNs established by NHS England during 2013 – 14. The Networks are a product of the Government’s ‘Innovation, Health and Wealth Strategy’ and a key element of NHS England’s Five Year Forward View. Their primary role is to form a network of NHS organisations, universities and businesses and achieve measurable results in the following key delivery areas:-
Focus on the needs of patients and local populations: support and work in partnership with commissioners and public health bodies to identify and address unmet medical needs, whilst promoting health equality and best practice.
- Build a culture of partnership and collaboration: promote inclusivity, partnership and collaboration to consider and address local, regional and national priorities.
- Speed up adoption of innovation into practice to improve clinical outcomes and patient experience – support the identification and more rapid spread of research and innovation at pace and scale to improve patient care and local population health.
- Create wealth through co-development, testing, evaluation and early adoption and spread of new products and services
The Innovation Agency is seeking to strengthen its commercial team by recruiting high impact, commercially focused business support managers and project administrators to deliver sub-regional SME support projects partly funded by the European Development Fund (ERDF). The projects will provide support for businesses to engage with the NHS and health and social care sectors, drive adoption of new technology and deliver economic growth to our region. Posts will be on a fixed term to 31st March 2018 (with a possible extension) and secondments will be considered.
ERDF Project Administrator Band 5 0.5 fte
Project administrator for an ERDF part funded SME support programme in Liverpool City Region, managing all aspects of administration for the Innovation Agency’s project delivery in accordance with ERDF regulations and requirements.
The post holders will join the commercial team appointed to lead specifically on the economic growth and business support elements of the Innovation Agency’s strategy and programme. The team will also work alongside, and with, Programme Managers delivering on Patient Safety, Health Improvement and Innovation programmes and a well-resourced communications team.
The Project Administrator should have experience of administering ERDF business support projects, including general administration, document management, audits and compliance with ERDF rules and regulations is essential.
The posts are based at the Innovation Agency HQ in Vanguard House, Sci-Tech Daresbury, Keckwick Lane, Daresbury, Warrington but will cover sub-regional geographies.
